3 Things About Me

  1. I’ve lived in California my entire life, growing up primarily in the South Bay Area. I started @ J&J Acoustics in 1993! After being a Union Carpenter for many years I did leave J&J Acoustics for a stint to pursue further education and work in the tech industry. I returned back to J&J in November of 2001 working in the office to learn Estimating and Project Management. I have worked in many aspects of the business with J&J from stocking & scrapping, apprentice, foreman, to Senior Estimator.
  2. : I have been married to my amazing and beautiful wife for the last 16 years. We have two children together and two children from my previous marriage. I have also been recently blessed with our first grandchild!
  3. I love spending time with friends & family. These relationships are really at the heart of most of the things we do and drive how we plan our activities. I enjoy mountain biking, boating, wake surfing, golfing, and just spending time outdoors in general.

What I Like About Working at J & J Acoustics

J&J has been a fantastic company to work for. One of the things I like about working at J&J has been the extreme amount of trust the owners and leadership have always given to allow us to make impactful decisions. This autonomy combined with strong mentorship has really helped me grow and develop my skills in the industry. These life skills have been impactful for me both at work, at home, and with personal relationships.

I’m very grateful for Jim & Joe Jean and the trust they have put into me and all of the employees at J&J Acoustics. When the founders of the company are able to trust employees to make good decisions that align with the company’s core values I think you get an empowered and strong workforce. At the same time, this trust creates a company that feels like a family environment. I believe this is one of the many reasons we have so many employees that have been here well over 20 years.

I’m grateful for all of the friendships created and mentors here that have poured into my personal growth and development. I love working with such great co-workers and clients. I’m confident that J&J will continue the mission and vision to build the Bay Area, build relationships, and build up strong competent people for many years to come. I’m blessed to be a part of it!
