3 Things About Me

  1. Personal:  Born and raised in India, I grew up primarily in Nashik, Maharashtra. I came to the United States in 2016 to pursue a Master’s in Civil Engineering (Specialized in Construction Management) and make wonders in the construction industry, (Fun Fact: I was the first one in the family to come abroad!). My dream of studying in the United States of America had definitely come true! In my memory, the day after I booked my one-way flight from Mumbai to New York stands out the most. After graduating from Syracuse University, NY, I found myself taking a short cross-country road trip across States, which then landed me in California. Here, I feel at home as I am fortunate to have J&J as my extended family.
  2. Family:  I belong to a brilliant family where my father (Dr. Bhikan More) & my two elder siblings (Sisters – Asmita & Prerna), along with their husbands (Aniruddha & Ankit) are all MD doctors, practicing medicine. Meanwhile, my mother (Mrs. Mangala) serves as a Principal at a Government School. Furthermore, I have two nephews (Aaradhya & Malhar) and one niece (Hridya) who make me feel blessed beyond measure.
  3. Hobbies: I am a globetrotter, love dancing, biking, kayaking, hiking, bar-hopping & lately experimenting with cocktails. If there is an adventure- I should be there!

What I Like About Working at J & J Acoustics

I started as an Assistant Project Manager @ J&J Acoustics in 2018, learning Estimating & Project Management. Like any first job in a foreign country, you never know what to expect. If anything, this smooth transition was made possible by the incredible “Company Culture” & their “Values”. Whether it has to be my training period to networking with industrial experts- it has always been a learning curve. I have always found my team constantly taking care of one another in unison, playing a vital role in greater success. A team where every employee, regardless of whether they work in an office or on the field, has the freedom and resources to make decisions and take action when it is in the best interest of the company. It’s my pleasure working with such a company that endorses all your footsteps – whether they are small or big!

Looking back, I’ve had an incredible journey with my J&J Family and I look forward to more adventures to come. As it’s rightly said, “It’s all about trust and empowerment, not command and control”.
