Family Spotlight Series: Meet Esteban and Daniel

At J&J Acoustics, we believe the strongest foundations aren’t just made of steel and they’re built on relationships. In this month’s Family Spotlight Series, we’re proud to feature two brothers who represent the heart of what we do: Esteban Botello and Daniel Reyes.

With a combined 15 years at J&J, Esteban and Daniel bring dedication, craftsmanship, and an unbreakable sibling bond to the job sites every day. Their shared commitment to quality and family values makes them a perfect example of the spirit that drives our company forward.

A Legacy Carried Forward

“My name is Esteban, and I’m proud to work alongside my brother Daniel here at J&J,” he shares. “I’ve been with the company for 10 years, and Daniel has been part of the team for the past five.”

Their path into construction was shaped by family. Esteban was introduced to J&J by a relative, and when the opportunity arose, he brought Daniel on board. Together, they’re now representing the second generation of their family in the construction industry, something they take great pride in.

“We’re honored to carry on the legacy of the family members who came before us,” Esteban adds. “Being part of projects we’ll remember for the rest of our lives, that’s what makes this work so meaningful.”

Complementary Strengths, Shared Goals

Esteban serves as a Taping Foreman, while Daniel leads as a Drywall Foreman. Their distinct skill sets make them a powerful team when their paths cross on a job.

“When we’re on the same project, it’s like clockwork,” says Daniel. “We each bring something different to the table, and that makes the job better.”

Esteban agrees: “Even though we work in different areas, we often share stories and experiences from our days on site. It’s exciting to talk about what we’re working on, and to dream about what we might achieve together in the future.”

Looking Ahead

One of Esteban’s biggest goals is to one day work a major project side-by-side with Daniel from start to finish. It’s a dream that reflects both ambition and brotherly pride.

“I think it would be a rewarding and unforgettable moment in our careers,” he says. “I really believe in both of us and feel good about what’s ahead, especially with the support and guidance of the amazing team we have around us.”

Keeping the Balance

Though work is a big part of their lives, Esteban and Daniel make sure to stay grounded at home. They bring stories from the field into their family conversations, but they know when to disconnect and focus on loved ones.

“At work, we’re all in,” says Esteban. “But when we’re with our families, we try to dedicate as much time as we can. Still, at the end of the day, work is always a priority.”

Growing Together, One Day at a Time

With Esteban having five more years of experience, he’s naturally stepped into a mentorship role, helping Daniel navigate challenges, avoid errors, and grow with confidence.

“It’s been a big part of how we’ve grown, individually and together,” Daniel shares. “Having someone who knows your strengths and has your back is huge.”

From Ranch to Jobsite

Here’s a surprising fact most coworkers don’t know: the Reyes brothers grew up competing in bull and wild horse riding at their grandfather’s ranch in Mexico. That early experience helped shape the courage and resilience they bring to every job.

Living the Values

Respect. Responsibility. Teamwork.

“These aren’t just words for us,” Esteban says. “They’re values we live by, and they show up in everything we do, from how we treat people to how we approach the work.”

Advice for Other Families

Esteban and Daniel have no hesitation recommending the experience of working with family, so long as you keep one thing in mind.

“Just don’t take things personally. Business is business,” they say. “As long as you keep communication open and leave hard feelings at the door, working with family can be one of the best experiences out there.”

These Brothers are an Example of Unity and Dedication

Esteban and Daniel’s story reminds us that family isn’t just something we go home to—it’s something that powers us through the workday. Their bond, shared history, and commitment to excellence show what’s possible when family and professionalism go hand in hand.
