3 Things About Me
- I was born & raised in San Jose. Last year, we moved to Gilroy though, and are loving the change of pace. My family has a background in construction in the Bay Area. My great-grandfather Ernest Hathaway started E.A Hathaway Construction, which was then passed on to my grandfather, Ron. Before my grandpa passed, they merged with Dinwiddie Construction, and Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction is still going strong today. Unfortunately, my mother was the last Hathaway to work there before her retirement years ago. It is a special legacy of my grandfather though, & I am a proud Hathaway!
- My fiancé, John & I are getting married next May. We have been together for almost 5 years & are excited to make it official. John has 2 boys ( 7, 8) and I have 3 girls (16, 12, 11) and 1 boy (13), bringing our crazy family of 8 together! It’s rarely quiet and a little chaotic at times, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are all very close to our extended families as well, so we are very grateful to have most of them close by.
- I enjoy spending my time with my family, they are truly what mean the most. I can’t remember life before being a mom, my kids are my everything. I enjoy decorating my home & organizing, so our new house has been a fun project for me lately.
What I Like About Working at J & J Acoustics
The best thing about working at J&J is without a doubt, the family atmosphere. It is a true blessing to work with such an amazing group of people every day. Everyone is always willing to help and pull together to get things done. My ability to learn and grow my skills over the last 6 years has been amazing. I began as the receptionist, and have been trained and helped so much along the way. This has enabled me to now move up to Accounts Payable, and learn so much about our industry in the process.
